Marriage

Just came across this post at Caliblog, which discourses on love and marriage. And most of the stuff is pretty much common sense but as that famous quote goes, it's pretty uncommon. Recommend a look at it. It also ties in with what I have been thinking for the past few days about patience, an often underrated and even overlooked virtue. In this day and age, where a consumerist culture propagates the virtue of indulging every whim, and instant gratification is the norm the pleasure of patience is not very evident. Especially since I am by nature impatient. If I have to do something I have to do it now. But my recent life has been showing me that patience is necessary, it's also better for my peace of mind. And since one of my other big strengths is perseverance, I definitely need a dose of patience.
